Coordinates: Back at home hiding under the duvet after having my $700 money transfer eaten by the bank’s system. It’s unclear which of the three dogs/banks involved in the transaction ate my homework. I’m gathering my strength to make a second call to customer service.
Our regularly scheduled Sanity and Sillies is being pre-empted for a special first edition of *Ask the Medicine.
I’m going to do a thing that’s been on my mind since at least December. That is to offer to take your questions on a particular topic into psychedelic healing space.
I am planning a journey soon, possibly as soon as tomorrow, to work my favorite topic and yours – The Money Monster. Money itself isn’t a problem, but wow… we have a lot of nasty bizness swirling around it as a culture. My aforementioned vanished $700 is perfect fodder for my own money issues to flare to the surface. We’re gonna deal with this fire head-on. Are you with me?
The dragon in the stars
It’s perfect timing to do this work. Since mid-January, the head and tail of the dragon, aka the North and South Nodes have been in Taurus and Scorpio. This illustrates the creative tensions between one’s own resources and those of others, the sunny comforts of home versus all that’s held as taboo in the darkness, and the material world versus the profundity of death. The astrology suggests we are experiencing an expansion of the Taurean themes of home, money, and the material world and the purging or reduction of the Scorpionic themes of secrets, sex, death, and debt. Generally, there’s no more tolerance for bullshit.
This will be continuing through to the middle of next year. All the lunar and solar eclipses are occurring in these signs, liberating the energy for change. Things may be cracking open in an uncomfortable way, but it’s necessary if we’re going to actually remodel these areas of our individual lives and in society to address the power imbalances.
